Volunteer Milestones

Volunteer Milestones reward individuals that complete varying levels of service hours during a program year. Each quarter, volunteers receive items from an ever-growing selection of benefits and tokens of appreciation. Open to all individual (non-group and corporate) library volunteers.

75 HOURS

  • Receive a retail gift card and Certificate of Appreciation

 150 HOURS

  • Receive two movie passes to enjoy with a friend; and Certificate of Appreciation

 250 HOURS

  • Receive a Queens Library Volunteer Goody Bag; and Certificate of Appreciation


Guidelines: Individuals must be registered with the Office of Volunteer Services and earn service hours during the current program year.  A program year/season runs from July 1st until June 30th.  All eligible hours must be approved by a project supervisor and submitted during the current program year.  Earned hours may not be carried over into a new program year.

Notification: Eligible service hours are calculated and based on approved hours submitted during the current season.  Volunteers are notified directly 2-3 times during the year.
